"After silence that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music." - Aldous Huxley

Born in Jerusalem, Talia Or grew up in Germany. The first stages in her professional singing career were in Munich: as a member of the Young Ensemble of the Bavarian State Opera, then of the regular ensemble of soloists at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz. Talia was lucky enough to work with some major conductors, including Lorin Maazel, Gianandrea Noseda, Kirill Petrenko, Fabio Luisi, and Ivor Bolton.
Extraordinary highlights in her career include concerts with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and Peter Schreier under the baton of Zubin Mehta. Her varied concert repertoire ranges from Mozart and Schumann to Richard Strauss, Mahler, and Schoenberg. She also performs works by contemporary composers including Unsuk Chin and Moritz Eggert.
Important engagements have taken her to renowned concert stages including the OSESP in São Paulo, the Tel Aviv Philharmonic, and the Munich Gasteig.
